Helping busy teachers to teach and lead primary art and design with knowledge, skills and confidence
Primary Art Skills has a simple mission – to help build your confidence and skills when teaching art and design to primary age children
We all know that high-quality teaching raises ambition, develops skills and opens up new possibilities for children. When teachers have the knowledge, skills and confidence to teach art well, they can create exciting, relevant and age-appropriate learning experiences for every child.
I work with busy teachers and schools who want to develop art and design but need practical, inspirational guidance and support.
With 30 years of primary teaching experience, a Master’s in Art Education and an extensive background in art and design, I help teachers develop their subject knowledge, artistic skills and confidence, while reducing overwhelm and bringing clarity to curriculum, progression and teaching.
Through CPD, training, consultancy, courses and Art Network MeetUps, I aim to inform, inspire and connectteachers and art leaders, helping you make meaningful improvements to art and design in your school.
